About us
Ruharo Vocational Training School (RVTS) is owned by the church of Uganda, Ankole Diocese. It was established with startup funding from a Christian organization in Holland known as evangelistic omorep (EO). It stated in 1981 as a day and boarding school targeting boys and girls who have been orphaned by the 1979 war. It is now 28 years in existence. It admits p-7, s-4, s-6 leavers and school left out. The school is located in Ruharo ward, Kamukuzi Division, Mbarara town along Mbarara-Kasese road.
Main Objectives
To train P-7,S-4,S-6 and other school leavers both Male and female with vocational skills so that they become Job makers rather than job seekers
To build a self reliant community through Christ centered work and integrated
To reduce un employment levels in the community.
To empower needy, orphans and disadvantaged person with skills.
Registration
The school is registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports. Registration NO: PVS/R/7
